Well so far the day has been pretty ok. You know the normal Sunday afternoon of basketball playoffs and Sunday Dinner. So usually around this time I'm preparing Sunday dinner, but today I just do not feel like it. I went to the gym my normal routine of excersing and drinking plenty water(which I hate). So I have had already 3 of my five meals today, remember it is very impirtant to eat starving your self is not the answer.
Yesterday I had the worst craving for candy in the world. I have completely cut out all soda, and junk food out of my diet but at times you just cannot help yourself and you cave it like I did. So I had two peanut butter cups which I don't not feel bad for having at all. I am a firm believer that you have to treat yourself sometimes and just do what you want. Do not get me wrong I'm not saying eat a 2,000 calorie meal but sometimes if your within your caloric intake its ok.
So lets discuss calories. Well I have been eating 1600 calories a day. Sometimes I don't even reach the 1600 calorie limit because the meals that I select for myself have a lot less fat and calories. I really try to sick to protein rich foods to help build muscle which is essential. I love apples, nuts, tomatoes which I choose to eat as snacks instead of chips or even those 100 calorie snack packets(WHICH ARE THE DEVIL). For dinner tonight Im going to prepare roast chicken with cheese broccoli and brown rice. Yes I know many people do not like brown rice but it is actually not all that bad. Plus it is a proven fact that brown rices has a lot more nutrient than white rice and it is better for you. I mean you can jazz it up add different seasoning to the rice like parsley, or cilantro which always taste great you can even add a chicken bullion cube or instead of using regular water to cook the rice, use beef stock, or low sodium chicken stock to add flavor. There is always a way to make your food taste spectacular. Just remember when ever you eat to eat 3 hours before bed and at least try to attempt to eat before 8pm this always helps. Well It begins
Well I should be in bed, However; I have decided to post. Well first let me tell you why I have decided to this, and why I'm sharing this dieting tribulation/milestone with all of you. Well we hear it on television all the new and improved ways to loose weight. Weither it is purchasing a dieting pill or weight watchers we have all seen it. I have never tried weight watchers and I am not knocking it but it gets expensive. I'm not a money savvy person but I can decipher when things get a little steep(being a broke college student in all).
Anyway, we have all heard people talk about loosing weight,but I really want to get you all motivated to desire the better you. Even if you are at your goal weight and don't need to loose any extra pounds, I'm sure you could drop some emotional weight maybe(I'M NOT JUDGING YOU) we all could use some tweaking. So I know the whole desiring a better you gets a little old sometimes, but if you do not desire it for yourself no one else can do it for you. So tomorrow being our real day one.
